New Up Trailer

Over the weekend, a new trailer for up appeared, which introduces every (living) character. Watch it below:

Wondercon 2009: Up, Up, and Away!

Yesterday I got to attend Day 2 of Wondercon in San Francisco, and boy was it fun! My main priority was to check out Pixar’s panel on Up and to catch the special 250 person screening of the first 45-minutes of Up. I’m glad to say I accomplished both tasks.

As both the panel and screening were separate events, I will treat them as such. This post will be on the panel and my next post will be on the screening. If you wish to keep reading, it’s all below the break. Remember, beyond this point, Spoilers are abundant!pixar Continue reading Wondercon 2009: Up, Up, and Away!

Going Up at Wondercon!

This year (specifically today) I get to attend Wondercon, and that means I’ll be able to see the Up panel and hopefully a screening of the first 45-minutes of the movie as well.

Here’s all the info for what I’ll be seeing tomorrow:

From Disney•Pixar comes UP, a comedy adventure about 78-year-old balloon salesman Carl Fredricksen, who finally fulfills his lifelong dream of a great adventure when he ties thousands of balloons to his house and flies away to the wilds of South America. But he discovers all too late that his biggest nightmare has stowed away on the trip: an overly optimistic 9-year-old Wilderness Explorer named Russell. From the Academy Award-nominated director Pete Docter (Monsters, Inc.), Disney•Pixar’s UP invites you on a hilarious journey into a lost world, with the least likely duo on Earth. Join director Pete Docter as he presents a look at UP, which opens on May 29 and will be available in select theaters in Disney Digital 3D.

As for the screening…

We are proud to announce that the first 45 minutes of Disney•Pixar’s 10th film, UP, will screen at WonderCon 2009. The screening will be introduced by director Pete Docter and producer Jonas Rivera on Saturday, February 28 at 7:30 PM at the Metreon Theatre (directly across from the Moscone Center at 101 4th St.). Please note, you must have your WonderCon badge to be admitted to this screening. Seating is limited to the first 250 guests and interested attendees are recommended to arrive at the theatre early (no line-up prior to 5:30 PM). No cameras, phones, or recording devices will be allowed at the screening, and all must be checked at the door.

I hope to have an update tomorrow night

Monsters Inc. 2?

Monsters Inc. 2 It looks like Pete Doctor’s next directorial position will be for Monsters Inc. 2. No confirmation from Pixar has been made, but, this early on, it rarely is.
